History

In 1974 Helensvale Estate, as it was then known, commenced construction of an executive golf course designed by the Surfers Paradise Golf Professional Billy See.
The original design consisted of seven par 3’s, ten par 4’s and one par 5 making it a par 66 course. A Clubhouse, two tennis courts, a swimming pool was also constructed and handed over to the Helensvale Golf Club in 1974 when a club was formed at a cost of $140,000.00.
The front nine was officially opened in September 1976, the back nine in July 1977. In approximately 1992 an extra parcel of land was added to the lease which afforded the club to construct the now 1st and 2nd fairways then redesigned the 3rd and 4th and by removing a green on the 6th and converting that to a par 4.
This change made the front 9 a par 37, the back 9 remained as original, a par 33 making the course a par 70 with play commencing in 1996.
While the swimming pool and tennis courts gave way to development and expansion the club continues to offer its members, their guests and visitors a friendly welcome and is a valued resource for the Helensvale community.
